Using techniques from Richard Schwartz and Jay Earley, and others, Ashely Vaden, LMFT, includes a thorough review of familiar concepts and definitions related to Telehealth application, as well as the theoretical framework of Internal Family Systems; this course is designed to teach therapists how to apply IFS concepts and practices utilizing telehealth, beginning with assessment and ending with integration. 

This course is not designed to solely teach you IFS; but more, how to familiarize you with IFS concepts, and provide concrete examples of implementing these practices on relevant clients. 

Lastly, this course offers an in-depth discussion re:  ethical considerations when working with clients utilizing IFS. 

This course seeks to be informative for therapists that want to know more about IFS, as well as explore topics related to IFS and its practical application. This course also offers thought-provoking discussion utilizing systems theory to discuss best techniques and applications of this incredibly helpful therapy treatment for PTSD and complex-PTSD, as well as treatment resistant anxiety and depression

.The training will include dynamic presentation, interactive discussion, and experiential practicing techniques. This training will be offered for 2.5 clock hours (3 CEUs) as an on-demand video course.

Objectives for Course:

  • Review definitions related to practice of telehealth; incorporate new definitions to implement Internal Family Systems techniques
  • Learn practice-building techniques therapists can use to help clients reduce symptoms of complexPTSD, anxiety, and depression
  • Discuss ethical considerations to increase client care and therapist knowledge/perhaps role-play
